Living on Campus

Admission to Student Residence is conditional upon your admission as a student at Mount Royal University.

Admission preference will be done in the following sequence:

• Students with accessibility requirements
• Priority housing groups
• Mount Royal students (full time)
• Mount Royal students (part time)

Application Process

Residence Services will keep you updated via email throughout your application process, so please monitor your inbox closely. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at residence@mtroyal.ca.

Application Steps:

1. Application initiated
   You have started your Residence application. Complete the required application information and pay the $60 application fee.
2. Application fee received
   We've received your application fee and your application is now being considered. We'll email you with the next steps.
3. Housing offer made
   You've been offered a space in Residence. Your Housing Offer email will tell you how to accept or decline your offer and provide your deadline.
4. Offer accepted
   You've accepted your Housing Offer. Complete the remaining steps in the Residence Application Portal.
5. Waiting on Confirmation Deposit
   You've completed the Portal portion of your application. Pay your $600 Confirmation Deposit by the deadline provided in your email to secure your space.
6. Confirmation Deposit received
   Your Residence application is complete. We'll email you with information about roommate selection, room assignments and other next steps.
7. Placement made
   You've been assigned a room. You can view your assignment and, when available, your future roommates in the Residence Application Portal.
